Dr. Kanakapuram Srinivasachar NARAYANACHARYA was born on 31 st October 1933 in an orthodox and devout family of Vedic scholars of Vadhula gotram.

He had his early education at Kanakapura (also called as Kaankaanhalli, Bangalore District) and secured First Rank in the matriculation. His further academic career continued at Mysore where he completed B.Sc., with physics and mathematics as major subjects but pursued his passion in literature and completed B A (Hons), English and M.A., (Modern English literature) from the University of Mysore. His doctoral thesis is on “The influence of Indian philosophy on W B Yeats and T S Eliot”.
